I'd start by looking at what kind of documents and formats you usually deal with. I also think Microsoft 365 is kinda outdated. I don't see the point in subscribing to software I don't need or don't need often. Right now, I find small software pretty handy for working with documents. For PDFs, it could be Nitro PDF Pro. You can find some tips how to use Nitro by googling it. Maybe there are better alternatives out there, but for now, it does the job for me — editing, splitting, merging, rearranging pages, compressing for sending, etc.
